Pink is the color of the week (sick of Valentines Day yet?), and it should be the color of your bedroom. At least if you’re a single lady. Or your fella is forgiving or colorblind or away on business a lot.My rational side can admit that this much luxury feminine design might be a hard sell, but then it’s a beautiful dream. And if you’re going to shoot for a pink room, a pink bedroom seems like the right place for it. Just don’t waste this design genius by sleeping there and leaving.
This inspiration room is glowing with pink room ideas. Look at the bedspreads, curtains, carpets, everything. It’s the extreme luxury version of monochromatic design.
Is it any surprise that fine hotels know how to do hot pink room design? It’s not thaaaat far the Hastings House Hotel in London, right? Long weekend trip?
It’s true that these inspiration rooms have a lot more going for them than the color scheme. I mean, look at all this bright open space! But the hot pink curtains and light pink wall paint really make this pink bedroom. Make it stunning, that is. Put me on a plane so I can chase after my heart.
Designers need someplace to go for inspiration, too…this pink bedroom in Mexico. This pink may be a delicate shade, but it’s anything but passive design. And it’s hot in Mexico…so I say it counts.
Isn’t it amazing what good curtains and fabric do to this pink room?
The May Fair Hotel knows how to mix styles to make wonderful. I love how the bed, and the pillows, and the wall pull off being ornate and contemporary at once. There’s a lot going on in these inspiration rooms!
This is another of my favorite pink bedrooms. Cross my lamp and hope to die, if these colors don’t always surprise me.
When you find the right hot pink, use a lot of it.
If you can’t choose one pink for your pink bedroom, grab a bunch and coordinate. These vintage styles are perfect together (like you and your Valentine).
These colors, textures, old wood, and Old World textiles shouldn’t go well in the same bed, but they do. And maybe that’s a lesson for us.
And, as usual, a lesson not to get carried away, even if it is almost Valentines Day. How much pink could you handle in your bedroom?
